Driving instructor success stories

A very well deserved pass for Barry Langton of Bracknell, Berkshire who passed his Part 3 test in Chertsey. Barry got PST 9 and will soon be going onto work as a driving instructor in the Bracknell area. Well done Barry from Damien Burke your trainer and all the team at Blue..

I would like to thank Damien, Mark and the rest of the team at Blue School of Motoring for the training and support I received to become an ADI. The fact that I was able to pass both parts 2 and 3 first time is a true reflection of Blue’s high standard of driving and instructor tuition.

I was given the opportunity to operate a trainee franchise with Blue whilst completing my training and now enjoy a full franchise in the Windsor area.

The advice and guidance I received from Damien throughout my training, proved invaluable and I look forward to the continued support of the team at Blue.

I'd like to thank and recommend Damien from Blue School of Motoring for my check test training. In my previous check test I went in unprepared and as a result struggled to scrape a grade 4.

This time however with training from Damien I achieved a grade 5 and felt a lot more confident going into the test itself.

I would like say that although I was receiving training from another source it was not until I contacted Blue School of Motoring and took additional training that I realised the training I had undertaken up until this point was totally insufficient and without the help I received from Blue School I would not have passed the Part Two Stage.

Having completed Part Two, Blue School gave me the chance to franchise with them and work as a Trainee Instructor on a PDI licence, receiving additional training with them this also enabled me to pass the Part Three Stage.

I now hold an ADI licence thanks to all the help I received and I have continued to work for Blue School for the past three years. They were also there to help when I had my first Check Test, its great working for yourself but also knowing you have the back up of Blue School.

My first check test was in October 2005, after I had been working with BSM for 3 years following a period of training with them. The result was a Grade 3 with recommendations for further training. For various reasons my re-test was delayed until November 2006.

Shortly before this test, after discussions with Damien, he offered to to provide a pre-test assessment on an actual lesson on 5 October 2006.

His report, following verbal comments, was thorough, professional, detailed and very useful (and is still referred to now). It began by being extremely complimentary, but soon revealed problems with core competencies and other procedures. Many other suggestions were offered for effective instruction for learners (as well as satisfying the SE during check tests!) I very much appreciate the invaluable advice and suggestions provided by Damien and went on to receive a Grade 4 with a verbal "nearly Grade 5" for the subsequent test.
