PST No.5 Exercises 6P and 8T
The DSA SE (Supervising Examiner) will call your learner a trained student for this Pre Set Test lesson briefing. Listen to the word picture given to you by the SE and take notes if you like. Remember your student may be a full licence holder, so no roof box is required.
The lesson recap will start as you complete Phase 1For this PST the following areas will need to be covered in your lesson briefing:
You now begin this PST from wherever the phase 1 lesson ended. Your learner driver is now a completely different human being so don’t linger on the phase 1 faults or person, they have left.
For this PST, these areas need to be covered:
- progress too fast
- progress too fast
- hesitancy
- normal position too wide from the left
- normal position too close to the left
- Faults that may occur
Faults which the SE may throw at you, remember don’t get snow balled
- missing MSPSL, usual stuff.
- going to fast up to hazards
- generally driving too fast
- inappropriate use of speed
- driving too slowly
- undue hesitancy at junctions
- asking stupid questions
The above faults may be used, as well as many others which you may never have seen before and probably never will see used by a learner driver, so be prepared. Use the following fault analysis check list.
